You may have read or heard about the plight of one of our neighbours and friends, Muriel Constable. Muriel’s home was gutted by fire two weeks ago. Muriel, a former pupil and up until recently a regular visitor to our school, has been left homeless following the fire. Muriel has often come into school to talk to our children about the history of Holy Trinity Primary School, Halstead Town and World War II.
Muriel is a very important part of our community and the staff and children would like to do something to help Muriel at this difficult time. Initially, we have organised a non-uniform day for Friday 8th October. children to come in their own clothes and, if they wish, make a small donation to our collection for Muriel. If anyone else has any fundraising ideas please let me know, we would like to do more if we can.
With every good wish,
Jon Smith, Headteacher
