The PTA AGM wil be held on Thursday 21st October 2010 at 6.30pm in the ICT suite in the school.
Last year’s AGM was very poorly attended. Many parents, we think, may have been scared off by worrying how much time helping the PTA takes. If you attend the AGM you do not automatically have to join the committee and you will not be roped into running stalls or collecting sponsorships! Honest!
It is your right as a parent/carer of a pupil at Holy Trinity school to attend any PTA meeting but especially the AGM. You won’t be expected to participate if you do not wish to, you can just come along and listen. The chair and the treasurer will both present their reports and there will be a review of the past year’s achievements and activities. There will be election of new committee members. All current members are happy to continue in their roles, but if you are interested taking on a role or joining please come along to the AGM. If you cannot make the meeting you can contact a member or leave a message with the school office.
I’m sure most of you have seen the new outside classroom that has been recently erected. This is a wonderful example of what the PTA works towards – every penny you give or spend at carious events organised by the PTA, whether it is buying a cake at the Christmas Bazaar or and ice lolly after school, goes directly towards making school life easier and more enjoyable for all our children. So please come along and see what it’s all about.
You are very welcome to attend – please come along.
