Football Report

This report from Jake Robertson:
“On the 12th October nine boys went to Ramsey to play a 7-a-side football tournament. Our first match was against Colne Engaine. We won 2-0 thanks to Tom White’s two goals. Our second match was against St. Andrew’s and we won that one 2-1, again with two goals from Tom White. Holy Trinity’s last game was against Richard de Clare, which we lost 3-1. After all the games Miss Smedley from Ramsey called all the teams over to say who had won. In 4th place was St. Andrew’s and in 3rd Colne Engaine. We were tied with Richard de Clare and it went down to goal difference. Richard de Clare were +4 and we were +1 so they won and Holy Trinity came second.”

The whole team; Louis, Jake, Kai, Oliver, Tom, Anson, Ethan, Keiran & Jay did Holy Trinity proud with a committed and enthusiastic team effort. For some of the players it was their first time playing in a football match but it certainly wasn’t obvious as they grew with confidence game after game.Well done to all the players!

Thank you to Ramsey for hosting and arranging the tournament, the parents who came to watch for their support and to Mr. Wiskin for organising the team.
