The non-pupil day held last Friday (12th November) was a valuable opportunity for teachers and governors to get together to share ideas, work through the school development plan and core subject action plans, and to revisit the school’s mission and vision statements to make sure they are still relevant today. It isn’t often that we have the chance for teachers and governors to meet in this way and it was certainly a rewarding experience which may well become an annual event.
The mission and vision statements have now been added to the Information page on the website. Miss McCullough will be taking the mission statement, which was originally written in conjunction with pupils from the school over 5 years ago, to the School Council to gather their thoughts on it and to ask for any recommendations for change. From there we will look to fine tune the school’s broader aims.
