On Wednesday the school choir will be travelling to the O2 Arena in London to take part in Young Voices, singing with hundreds of other children from schools across the country.
On the day the teachers will be updating this site (and our Twitter & Facebook pages) with news on how they’re getting on, but in the build here is an interview with two of the Year 6s taking part. Tomorrow we’ll hear from some Year 2s.
Sophie: “I’m feeling quite nervous having to sing in front of so many people. It’s such a big venue, with so many people – and we have to remember dance moves as well. I am very excited though, it’s not something we would normally do and it’s fun to do new things. Some of the words have been tricky to learn, with some of the sons written especially and some that we already knew.”
Terry: “I’m very excited not being in school and spending the day singing. I’m not worried but I am nervous singing in front of so many people, with so many songs to learn I might forget the words! I can’t wait to sing at the O2!”
It should be a fantastic experience for the children, and we’ll be keeping you up to date with the adventure via the website.
