Club News – Tag Rugby, Dance & Football

After School Clubs started again this week, with many of them being provided free of charge by the school. There are though a number of clubs provided by outside agencies for a small charge, and they are the focus of this post.

Tag Rugby Club – Mark Wiskin Sports Academy

Wednesdays 3.15-4.15pm. Open to all Key Stage 2 boys and girls, £3.50

Tag Rugby involves technique coaching skills, fun games and small sided matches. Tag Rugby is a non-contact version of rugby, with tackles being made by pulling off tags tags fastened around players’ waists. Tag Rugby is a very fast game, lots of fun, and perfect for both girls and boys to play. Children will learn catching, movement, co-ordination, awareness and passing skills – and keep fit at the same time! For further details contact Mark Wiskin 07930 990013 www.wiskinsports.com

Freestyle/Street Hip Hop Dance Class – Pendrill Dance

Thursdays 4.30-5.20pm. Open to all children, £3.00

Good exercise and fun whilst learning choreographed routines to JLS, Lady Ga Ga, Cheryl Cole, Alexandra Burke and many more. Also fun dances like the Cha Cha Slide. Friday Football Club – Mark Wiskin Sports Academy

Fridays 3.15-4.15pm. Open to all children, £3.50

Friday afternoon football is open to boys and girls of all abilities. Each session involves technique coaching, skills, fun games and small sided matches. We hope to encourage enough children to take part in some friendly games against other teams in the local area. Two groups are run so children are playing with others of similar ability.
