Further to the letter you received from Esme Pickford, Chair of Governors last week I am writing to introduce myself.
My name is Deborah Bailey and I am currently Head teacher of John Bunyan Infant School and Nursery. I have been teaching for 27 years and I am passionate that we give our young children the very best education that we can by working together and striving to nurture individual skills and talents so that they develop a lifelong love of learning. Whilst Mr Smith is on compassionate leave I will be acting as executive Head teacher working closely with Mrs Barlow; I will share my time between my own school and Holy Trinity. I am looking forward to working closely with your children and the dedicated team of professional staff at Holy Trinity.
Last term I made several visits to the school and I was impressed by the confidence, politeness and friendliness of the children and how they were keen to share their experiences and learning with me. I will be attending celebration assembly on Friday so I look forward to meeting with those of you who attend, and I will be outside school in the mornings next week to welcome the children at the gate.
