Safety Report – Please Read 1

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is not my intention to alarm parents/carers but an incident has been reported to us which I feel should be passed on to you.

Early Tuesday morning, before school, a child was approached by a man in a white van who attempted to speak to them. This incident took place in the vicinity of Beridge Road. The man did not get out of the van at any stage but tried to engage the child in conversation. Thankfully the child did the right thing and ran away. The police were informed as soon as we were notified.

May I respectfully remind parents/carers to make sure their children are aware of the danger involved in speaking to strangers.

Yours sincerely

Mrs J Barlow
Acting Headteacher

This isn’t the first time- there was a similar incident in the winter last year. I wont be letting Bella out on her own any time soon, rather be safe than sorry.
