We’d like to thank all the parents and visitors who came to see our special ‘Think and Do’ Celebration Assembly last week.
I think those of you who came will agree that there were some spectacular ideas on display! The purpose of the project was to encourage our children to be more independent and to help them make decisions about their learning.
You will have noticed that most children chose ‘junk modeling’ to realise their ideas – we were not at all surprised by this. Our aim is to slowly encourage our children to present their ideas in different forms.
Moving forward, we have decided that each class will have a ‘Think and Do’ afternoon every fortnight. Each ‘Think and Do’ session will be based on one of our curricular themes and have a clear objective. It is the children’s job to then decide how to fulfill the objective…
