Cressing Temple Visit

Dear Parents/Carers,

Foundation Stage Visit to Cressing Temple Barns on Wednesday 21st March 2012

This term we are studying Pirates, and to enhance our studies of this topic, we will be attending a “Pirate Theme Day” at Cressing Temple Barns on Wednesday 21st March 2012. There will be loads of activities on offer during the day, which may include:

• Den building
• Blind fold treasure challenge
• Walk the plank
• Find your way across the swamp
• Survival day with mutiny
• Human playdoh
• Cork boats to island
• Any other challenges your captain may throw at you.

We will be travelling by coach and will leave school at 9.15 a.m. and return before the end of the school day. All children will need to bring a packed lunch on this day – no fizzy drinks or glass bottles please. For children with a free school meal entitlement, a packed lunch, if requested, will be provided. We are also requesting that children wear fancy dress costume, dressing up as Pirates.

The cost of this trip, which is heavily subsidised by the school, will be £5.00 per child which covers coach travel and the whole day’s activities. We will be asking for some parents to accompany us on this trip. Please indicate on the reply slip if you are available to help and we will contact you nearer the time.

Please complete the permission slip and return to school as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours sincerely,

Miss S Presland  & Miss H Pegram
