A few reminders about a busy couple of days:
This year, in conjunction with St Andrew’s Church, our Harvest Celebrations will be focusing on raising money and collecting produce for the new Halstead Food Bank.
The Food Bank is a new initiative that aims to help people in times of financial adversity, providing them with basic food to see them through difficult times. During the harvest period we will be collecting tins of basic food towards a whole school donation to the Food Bank, alternatively, if you would like to donate a little cash, we will collect all donations and pass them on directly to the Food Bank.
Our Harvest Festival services this year are today and tomorrow (Wednesday 17th & Thursday 18th October), both at 2pm in the school hall. There are no tickets for the services, which are identical, so you can turn up for whichever you wish. We are hoping to avoid the overcrowding of last year!
Due to teachers’ course and training commitments we will be splitting our parents evenings this term:
18.10.12 Early Years and Key Stage One (Tomorrow)
24.10.12 Whole School
25.10.12 Key Stage Two
All children should by now have brought home appointment time slips.
The PTFA are holding their AGM on tomorrow (Thursday 18th October) at 7pm in Mr. Handy’s room. Everyone is welcome to attend to see what the PTFA’s plans are for the year ahead. You won’t have to join the PTFA, although you can if you wish! Light refreshments will be provided.
