This week I have received a letter from the Department of Environmental Health at Braintree District Council. They claim that residents in Beridge Road have contacted their complaints department alleging that Parents/Carers have been seen dropping litter outside the school. One report even alleges that a Parent was seen throwing a used nappy onto the side of the road!
Although this is something I have never observed around the school, I have been instructed by Environmental Health to ask Parents/Carers to refrain from dropping litter outside/around Holy Trinity in order to maintain goodwill with local residents.
I have contacted Environmental Health and explained that at no time have we ever received any complaints from local residents regarding litter and, furthermore, the area is also used by visitors to the Acorn Children’s Centre.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
