Here’s a quick reminder about what’s going on between now and the end of term. (Individual classes may have extra plans not listed here. These will be communicated on a class-by-class basis, please encourage your child to ask their class teacher for more details if they are unsure of anything.)
Friday 12th December
Children and staff will be supporting the charity Save the Children and their Christmas Jumper Day Appeal. Every £ raised will be matched by the Government. Just come into school on 12th December wearing your own Christmas Jumper and it would be wonderful (but not compulsory) if you could also bring in a small donation. If you do not have a Christmas jumper, don’t worry, just replace your school jumper with something festive; a Christmas t-shirt, a tinsel festooned tank top! The choice is yours, please do not stress!
WOW Assembly – This is the last WOW Assembly of 2014.
Year 1 & Year 2 Christmas Party – No party clothes are needed as the children will be in their Christmas jumpers, but donations of party snacks would be gratefully received.
There are no after school clubs during the last week of term. Early Risers Club will be operating as normal.
Monday 15th December
Paddington! The whole school will be heading over to Braintree for our annual Christmas cinema trip. Please make sure permission slips are in ASAP (if they’ve not in already.)
Year 3/4 Christmas Baking – Ingredients for Christmas baking will be provided but we would really appreciate any donations of cake decorations to help decorate the biscuits.
Tuesday 16th December
Foundation/KS1 Nativity – 1.30pm
Year 3/4 Christmas Party – Children are welcome to bring in party clothes to change into in the afternoon and donations of party snacks would be gratefully received.
Wednesday 17th December
Foundation/KS1 Nativity – 5.30pm – Could you please therefore make sure that all children are back in school at 5.00 p.m. to give us time to get them all changed and ready. We would like to appeal to all families to try and ensure that as many children as possible return to school for the evening performance in order that the performance will not be compromised if large numbers of children are absent. If you know in advance that your child will be unable to attend, please let their teacher know as soon as possible. The performance will run for approximately 45 minutes after which all children will return to their classrooms ready for collection.
Thursday 18th December
Pantomime – This takes place in the afternoon and will go right up to home time. We will get the children out as quickly as possible after it has finished. Please make sure permission slips are in ASAP (if they’ve not in already.)
Friday 19th December
Christmas Carol Assembly – 9am – Parents are welcome to join us in some festive singing.
Hedgehogs are allowed to bring in games on the last day of term.
End of Term – Have a great holiday and we’ll see you back at school on Monday 5th January 2015
Saturday 7th February 2015
