In order to make the most of this week’s lovely weather Thursday’s Deli Day has been changed to a Picnic Day! All the same lunch options will be available (including jacket potatoes) but the children will be enjoying them outside!
With this warmer weather we would like to remind you of the procedures for the use of sun cream in school.
On days when some sun is expected we would urge parents to apply some sun cream to children before they leave home and possibly provide them with a hat. If your child can apply their own sun cream we would also suggest that they have some in the their tray or bag so they can apply it at break/lunchtimes if required. Furthermore, I am afraid that the school cannot provide sun cream.
I must also point out that we cannot apply sun cream to children – but they can apply it themselves. There are a number of sun creams on the market that will last for 8-12 hours, if applied to children before they leave home they will remain protected for the entire school day.
Don’t forget also that the Sports Bottles are back in stock.
The bottles have a 500ml capacity and can be labelled with your child’s name. They sell for £1.00 and you can also get replacement caps for 30p (in stock now), again from the school office.
I would like to stress that we do not make any financial profit on these items; they are sold to you at cost price.
As a school we really believe in the benefits of drinking plenty of water and encourage children to bring in their own water bottle and keep drinking, not just in the summer, but all year round!
