This week we have been continuing our work on Jasper’s Beanstalk. The children have shared their knowledge about gardening and we have been learning what helps plants to grow. Each Hippo is now growing their own bean!
We have used the story as a basis for maths, literacy and art activities. The children enjoyed counting out the leaves on Jasper’s beanstalks. The children used their phonic skills to label a picture of Jasper as well as a creating lovely life size Jasper.
Preparation for our Harvest Festival has been very important this week, ready for our performance. We have also created a very special box for all our harvest goodies, using our shape knowledge. Thank you for all your contributions,
We have learning how to form ‘a’ correctly and using alliteration to think of words starting with this letter.
We have continued to work on fine motor skills, using a range of threading techniques.
Super work Hippos!
