This week was World Book Day and the children loved participating in lots of activities based around their favourite books. The day started with ERIC, which the children really enjoyed – thank you to all of you who managed to come in and read with us.
We then spent time on a World Book Day Quiz, testing our knowledge of titles, characters and authors. Several children had made or brought in props which reminded them of their favourite book. They shared and explained these to the class and we enjoyed reading several stories together.
Throughout the rest of the week we have worked on halving in maths, our letter formation and our Letters & Sounds. We have also been very creative and have developed our writing skills in some very secret projects. Unfortunately these will have remain a mystery until Sunday! :0)
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
