This week we have had a large maths focus, linked to Spring and Easter. The children have halved chicks in nests, created Easter egg patterns and followed numbered bunny footprints to be the first with a carrot in the basket! They have also caught floating eggs and matched numerals too. We have consolidated and developed our counting, adding and recording skills through all of these activities and the children have done very well.
In addition to this we have explored colours and textures in our Easter art and the children have learnt about the story of Easter and shared their own experiences. The children have also been preparing for the Easter service next week.
Lots of mathematical Easter fun – well done Hippos!
