This week has been rather unusual for the Hippos, with the Bank Holiday, Polling Day and our wonderful ‘Run For The Sun’ fundraiser!
Around all these events the Hippos have also continued their ladybird work, including icing ladybird biscuits and painting stones. The children had a wonderful time, whilst simultaneously improving their use of positional language. They talked about the world around them on the field, and how things can change state when creating icing.
The children were very excited by the arrival of our new outdoor furniture and have taken part in some lovely learning at the water tray and tables. The hopscotch was also very popular as the children practiced number recognition using beanbags. Good Letters & Sounds and letter formation work too Hippos – well done!
