Dear Parents, Families, Children and Friends,
It has been a really busy and festive day at Holy Trinity!
This is our final day in school before we break up to celebrate Christmas and spend some time with our friends, families and loved ones.
It has been a delight to work with your children in 2016, they have worked hard, represented the school (and Halstead) beautifully whenever they have ventured beyond the school gates and they remain an absolute pleasure to teach.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff at Holy Trinity. They truly put their heart and soul into their work, make many sacrifices and give their time so generously to make sure that school is the best it can be for the children in their care. At Holy Trinity we really do our very best to make the school ‘experience’ as varied and enjoyable as it can be.
This week we were able to share some good news about of 2016 results; they were fabulous and probably the best we have ever achieved. Now although that is important, it is by no means the be all and end all. In truth, it is more important to the politicians and bureaucrats than it is to the rest of the World! What are more important are our children, their feelings, their development and their place in society. We want them to grow up with a sense of responsibility and recognise that they are more than a score, a grade or a qualification – they are individuals who can make a difference in the World. I am so very proud of our children and the way in which they are progressing and carving out a path for themselves!
Finally, I would like to thank everyone for all the cards, presents and especially the kind and genuinely touching comments we have received as the end of term approaches. It is a pleasure to work for you and there is no greater privilege that to be entrusted with the care of your children; it is a responsibility we take very seriously.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful and happy 2017.
Jon Smith (Headteacher)
