Today’s Newsletter – Happy Easter!

Congratulations Miss Todd

I am delighted to announce that Miss Todd has now been formally appointed as the new Deputy Headteacher at Holy Trinity. Miss Todd has done an excellent job in a temporary capacity, and following a lengthy application/interview process her post has now been made permanent. I am sure that you will join me in wishing her every success in this new role.
News in Brief

School Journey Meeting – Our staff who will be running this year’s Residential Visit to Kingswood are holding a Parents Meeting on Friday 28th April (3.30-4.15). It is essential that parents with children involved come along.

Trading Cards – This week we have experienced a few disagreements between children regarding the swap/exchange of trading cards e.g. Match Attax. Rather than stop our children bringing these cards in altogether, Mrs Day has kindly offered to run a trading cards club on Tuesday lunchtimes at 12.50pm. Therefore we would ask parents/carers to ensure that trading cards are only brought into school on Tuesdays – if brought in at any other time the cards will be taken in by members of staff and sent home.

Clubs and After School Activities – Letters regarding our After School Program for the Summer Term have come home. We will collate all the returns we receive over Easter and add more to the lists as we receive them. We will start all Clubs and After School Activities on Monday 24th April 2017.

Polling Day – Please note that Holy Trinity will be closed to pupils on Thursday 4th May for local Government elections. We will re-open on Friday 5th May.

Bake Off – Thank you to everyone who entered the PTFA Bake Off! The standard of baking was amazing and the judges were really impressed!

We will keep you up to date with the results and the amount raised over the Easter holiday!

Volunteer Librarians Needed!

We would really appreciate some voluntary help – we are looking for some volunteers to help us run the school library. It takes time to check books in and out and keep our books in good order. You must be willing to have a DBS check (formerly known as a Criminal Records Bureau check), basic safeguarding training and some library training (all free of charge). Obviously it helps if you are a keen reader and like working with children! Working time can be flexible. If you are interested please call into the school office and we will get back to you!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter – Year 3/4 will be enjoying their hot cross buns that they made this week!

Enjoy your family time and we look forward to seeing you back at school on Wednesday 19th April!

Jon Smith
