Now reports have gone home your children will know whose class they are in next year. You will no doubt have noticed that there are two extra classes from September, and you may have wondered where they were going to go!
Due to a larger-than-usual intake the school we will be having two Reception classes and three Year 1/2 classes next year. These two extra classes will be accommodated by extending one of the current Reception rooms (Reception) and converting the current ICT Suite (Year 1/2). The loss of the ICT Suite will be compensated for by the fitting of a high-tech managed wireless solution throughout the school and a bank of brand new laptops in each classroom. We have been working hard with Essex County Council to coordinate the large-scale building and infrastructure work that will take place during the summer holidays. Full details of the improvements were only recently confirmed and we did not want to cause alarm by announcing the loss of the ICT Suite without being in a position to properly say what would be replacing it. All building work will be completed in time for our return to school in September.
With the school expanding and a raft of new technology entering the school this is an exciting time to be at Holy Trinity and testament to the hard work and dedication of staff, pupils, parents and governors.
