Welcome back, I hope that you all had an enjoyable half term break.
This term, I am delighted to say that I have returned to the classroom! Whilst we await the return of Mrs Gladen from maternity leave, I will be teaching Class 6 on Mondays and Tuesdays for the remainder of the Spring Term. Although this will not effect the smooth running of the school, it will mean that I will not always be available for appointments and meetings with Parents and Carers at short notice. I am really enjoying teaching Class 6, they have been incredibly kind to me and have made me feel very welcome in their classroom.
We are currently in the process of putting the finishing touches to the 2012 Spring Term Progress Reports. We are planning for these reports to be published on March 12th. In addition, we are holding our Spring Term Parent Consultation evenings on Monday 19th March and Thursday 22nd March (3.30pm to 6.00pm). The progress reports will form the basis of the consultation and we would ask Parents to pay particular attention to the curricular targets that our teachers have set. These targets have been selected to try and help your children make ‘the next step’ in their learning.
I think it is fair to say that 2012 is going to be an exciting year; we are planning a number of events in school to reflect what’s happening around the world, so look out for more information about:
National School Sports Week
A week of School Sport, Sports Days and competitions to get us ready for the London Olympic Games!
Holy Trinity History Week
A week of English history to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Our focus at Holy Trinity remains upon enjoyment. Although we have a very clear desire to raise standards, we also want children to enjoy their learning by making school interesting, inspiring and full of experiences that they won’t forget in a hurry!
Enjoy your weekend, best wishes
