DO YOU HAVE ANY OLD COMPUTER EQUIPMENT?
- Working laptop computers (any age)
- Working desktop computers (towers)
- Flat screen monitors
- Other IT equipment or parts (anything)
- Software with licences (windows XP)
- Games systems and games (PS2 )
- Flat screen TV systems
- Urgent need for VGA cables
Over the past year or so we have overhauled our ICT equipment and have collected together an amount of old desktop PCs, monitors, mice, cables etc. that are no longer needed by us. Project 300 is aiming to send 300 computers to schools in the Philippines next January.
Here’s what they have to say about themselves:
Project 300 is the brain child of the team of shunters at the Andover CDC, we wanted to help the children of the Philippines to get better chances in education by providing them with surplus computer equipment from the UK, It was a shock to visit them and see the struggle to teach these young people and the conditions faced by staff in providing the best they can. Project 300 is about recycling our old equipment and making the lives of over 3000 children better by providing much needed computer equipment.
A couple of parents have mentioned to me that they have old computer equipment at home that they don’t know what to do with, and at Christmas old computers are often replaced and then left in cupboards or attics to collect dust. And so it occurred to me to ask you if you have any old computer equipment to donate to this worthwhile cause.
More from Project 300:
Recycle your old PC.
Help us help schools in the Philippines
If you have any old PC equipment you do not need anymore, then please consider donating it to our project that recycles computers and places them in schools where the children have nothing at all.
Your old PC or laptop will be checked, all personal data removed and the computer reformatted before being packed and shipped to
its new home as a classroom computer.
We are looking for 300 in total and will take any computer equipment and reference books. Your kind donations will help us help thousands of young people to gain real life education and a chance for a better life.

Hopefully the combination of our old equipment and any items from home will help Project 300 reach their target before the container leaves for the Philippines in late January.
PLEASE SEND IN ANY OLD ICT EQUIPMENT TO SCHOOL DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF TERM:
TUESDAY 8TH JANUARY – FRIDAY FRIDAY 11TH JANUARY 2013
AND WE WILL ORGANISE IT BEING SENT TO PROJECT 300.
Please remember that all hard drives are formatted and cleared of personal data before packing and shipment.
