Every year the PTFA ask me how they can help the school. Usually this involves purchasing resources or equipment that we, as a school, cannot fund through our budget. This year we decided upon a different plan.
The PTFA said that they wanted to do something that would benefit every single child in the school. After some thought it was decided that the PTFA would fund, without any cost to the school or families, a trip for the whole school.
Early Years and Key Stage One will be visiting Chelmsford Civic Theatre to see ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ on January 31st. Letters will be coming home very soon, all we need is your permission, no cash required!
Key Stage Two will pay a visit to ‘The Making of Harry Potter’ at the Warner Bros. Studios in Elstree on 14th March 2013. Both trips are linked to our curriculum theme ‘Let us entertain you’. Letters will be going out in the very near future again, just asking for parental permission.
This is a wonderful gesture by the PTFA, for many children this will be a day that they will remember forever. We are so fortunate to have such an active and generous PTFA who give so much of their time and energy to make life at Holy Trinity better for everyone. The PTFA also support the work of the school by supporting our aim – to make learning memorable, exciting and inspiring. On behalf of everyone at Holy Trinity I would like to thank the PFTA Team for their support of our work and, on a personal note, backing our school and its ethos at every turn.
