Children from the choir travelled to London yesterday to sing at The O2. They spent many weeks rehearsing a large number of songs ready to perform with 7000 other children. After a long afternoon of rehearsals, the arena became packed with parents, friends and family who came to watch. A number of guest singers and dancers appeared on the stage, including X-Factor contestant Stacey Soloman and children sang along with her songs. It was an amazing atmosphere and a day I am sure the children will remember for years to come. Credit must be given to the children for their outstanding behaviour. Even walking back to the coach, (that was delayed!) in the pouring rain, the children did not make a fuss. After arriving home at midnight I am sure there are a number of very tired children today!
Finally, I’d like to say big thankyou to all the staff and parents involved in the day.
