We have had a wonderful end to this half term’s activities with a week focusing on the festival of Diwali. The children have learnt, discussed and re-enacted the story of Rama and Sita, using puppets. They have designed and painted Mehndi patterns on their hands and created Rangoli patterns with coloured sand, whilst identifying different 2D shapes and their properties. We have also worked on our fine motor skills, using clay tools to create Diwa candle holders, which the children have thoroughly enjoyed.
The children have had a superb half term and have settled in really well!
We wish you all a fantastic, relaxing, half term break.
