I hope that you and your loved ones are enjoying the Christmas ‘run-in’ and looking forward to spending time with your friends and family.
This week is full of Christmas fun, starting today with the whole school trip to Cineworld in Braintree. Thank you for getting all the children to school in good time this morning.
Our youngest children in Key Stage One and Foundation have been working exceedingly hard to perfect the Nativity! Performances start tomorrow and I must point out that we will not be able to admit anyone without a ticket. We are bound by Health and Safety regulations and due to the fact that we have so many children performing, the seating capacity has been reduced. Should we choose to ignore these regulations the school (namely the Headteacher!) could be prosecuted!
At this point I would like to pay a huge tribute to Miss Todd who, with the support of Mrs Day and the Key Stage One and Foundation staff, has been the driving force behind the organisation and performance. These events do not ‘happen’ by themselves, they represent a huge amount of hard work, dedication and sleepless nights! Thank you so much Miss Todd and your team, we really appreciate your work.
Finally, thank you to everyone who took part in our ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ – it was great to see everyone in their best festive attire!
Jon Smith (Headteacher)
