With Mothers Day approaching, we have been thinking about our Mums this week. We have drawn and painted pictures of our Mummies. The children made beautiful flowers and used their best handwriting to make cards for their Mums.
We created a poem and the children performed it to their mums when they came into school on Wednesday. Then the mummies and children got a chance to look at the work we’ve done since September and talk about the photos in the children’s learning journeys. We finished the afternoon off by enjoying some cakes and a drink. The children loved having their mummies in the class. Thank you to all those that attended.
The children have been learning to write sentences this week and used their knowledge of sentence structure to write about their mums.
In maths the children were spotting errors and correcting them when ordering numbers.
As well as this, the children are taking part in a book challenge around the school and helping to raise money for comic relief!!
What a busy and fun week. Well done Hedgehog class!
