Such an eventful week in Hedgehog Class. It was lovely to see so many Daddys and Grandads on Monday afternoon to celebrate Father’s Day, the children really enjoyed sharing their work with you.
On Wednesday we were very excited to welcome a Policeman into our school, who told us all about being a police officer and let us explore a Police car. We have been using what we have learned about Police work to help solve our own mystery in class today (Thursday). We have narrowed the case of the missing Hedgehog to three main suspects and we hope to bring them in to our station tomorrow for questioning. The whereabouts of our main suspect, Mr Horwood, are currently unknown but we hope that he will be located soon. I am sure your child will tell you all about our investigations.
Despite all the activity going on this week, we have still managed to work extremely hard on our Numeracy skills, working on our number bonds to 10. In Literacy, we have continued to consolidate our letters and sounds and are practising the formation of the letter ‘w’. Perhaps you can practise this with your child at home.
We will keep you informed of the outcome of our suspect questioning tomorrow! Keep up the good work Hedgehogs.
