The Ramsey Academy – Tea Party

It was great to see a few of our old Year 6’s this afternoon at The Ramsey Academy. The annual “Primary Tea Party” has become a bit of a tradition – I get the chance to check up on a few of our former pupils, look at their new exercise books (making sure they’re not letting their standards drop!) and hear how they are getting on.

This afternoon Miss Todd and I met with Tom, Jess, Megan, Charlotte and Millie. They looked really smart in their ties and blazers and clearly seem to be enjoying life at the Ramsey Academy. I have to say that our former stars were really positive about their new school and that any pre-Year 7 fears were a distant memory! They were also very quick to assure me that no former Holy Trinity pupils had been given a detention…yet!

I had the chance to catch up with Mr Leys and Mr Taylor from Ramsey and they were full of praise for our ex-pupils. They assured me that they were all settling in well and that they had experienced a really calm and settled start to the new school year.

I was particularly proud to learn that a number of our ex-pupils had taken part in the recent Open Evening, and that Jess had even given a short speech to prospective students and parents about life at The Ramsey Academy!

Mr Leys did mention to me that if any prospective parents would like an individual tour of the school and an informal meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team, that they should call the main office at the Ramsey Academy on 01787 472481 or 01787 474267. You’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome and may even see a few friendly former pupils!

A very proud Headteacher!
