This afternoon we have inspected the school site and it is still very icy as the temperature has not risen above freezing all day. However, the forecast for overnight suggests that we will get up to 5-6 degrees Celsius with rain and so we will, as expected, be open as usual tomorrow on Wednesday 13th December.
We’ve also been re-organising events that would have taken place yesterday, most notably the Nativity. With only five action-packed days left before we break up the only opportunity we have to perform ‘Christmas Counts’ is tomorrow afternoon before Hare Class’s Books & Biscuits at 2.30pm. All tickets for the original performance are valid for this rearranged date. We understand that this time may not be possible for everyone, especially at such short notice, but we wanted to put the show on twice and trying to get all of Foundation & Key Stage 1 pupils & staff together at the same time hasn’t given us any other options. The evening performance will go ahead as planned.
Wednesday 13th December
1.45pm – Rearranged afternoon Nativity
2.30pm – Hare Class Books & Biscuits
4.30pm – Children return to school
5.00pm – Evening Nativity
5.30/40pm – Children picked up
As mentioned in an earlier message we did video Monday’s dress rehearsal. Mrs Rayner is looking into the copyright for the performance and, so long as we obtain the correct permissions, we will make it available to view before the end of term. This isn’t a definite but we’ll do what we can.
A round-up of details of all other Christmas activities will go home tomorrow in a newsletter.
Thank you, once again, for your support and understanding this week.
See you tomorrow!
