Having created their flags, some of the children in Class JS had time to experiment with Logo, and in particular the ‘repeat’ command. Here are the results:
To create the Italian & Ivory Coast flags below the Y5/6 children who weren’t at the Ramsey and Hedingham taster days had to: Write a command line containing a repeat function to create the whole flag, including the outline, in as few characters as possible. This week children across the school have been working with BeeBots, BigTraks & Roamers. In this video some children in Class HR made two roamers do a synchronised reverse park.
Classes NN, CS and HR had a brilliant morning listening to the whole history of Great Britain. They learnt all about the Kings, Queens, battles and invasions throughout history and had good fun learning actions to help them to remember key events!
Class HR created these images using Dazzle 03 to give the younger children in the school a fun tool to help them count to 100! There are 100 penguins in the end, but how many penguins are there altogether? The video is also available on YouTube here.

Yesterday afternoon the children in Class HR visited Halstead Library for an Indian-themed afternoon. The children had great fun finding facts and pictures hidden around the library and hearing a traditional Indian story.
The children in Classes LW & JS were split into groups last half term and given a topic to create a presentation on. They will all be posted online after a feedback/review session later this week, but because this one is relevant to Bonfire Night here it is now:
Class HR have worked really hard this half term to produce some wonderful Indian Elephants! They spent time layering a balloon with paper mache and creating ears, a trunk and legs to add to each one. Once they were painted they decorated them in a variety of ways, adding feathers, […]
