Black History Month 2025 at Holy Trinity

During October 2025, Holy Trinity celebrated Black History Month through a range of engaging activities designed to raise awareness, celebrate diversity, promote equality, and foster respect and understanding across our school community.

Each class learnt and performed a poem by a Black poet, sharing their recitations with the rest of the school in a special celebration of spoken word. Continuing our focus on Black authors, we also held a reading swap morning, where children visited different classes to enjoy stories written by Black writers.

In addition, pupils took part in whole-school assemblies highlighting the importance of Black History Month, as well as online workshops in maths and English that linked learning to the theme.

Together, these experiences helped our pupils deepen their appreciation of the contributions, creativity, and achievements of Black individuals throughout history and today.
