Science

Overview

Science teaching at Holy Trinity Primary aims to give all children a robust understanding of the world around them, whilst acquiring specific skills and knowledge to help them think scientifically, gain insights into science processes and an understanding of science today and for the future. We want our children to be naturally curious about their surrounding world and our staff aim to foster that sense of wonder. We are committed to providing a stimulating, engaging and challenging learning environment and establishing a broad range of vocabulary.

Throughout our school, children are encouraged to develop and use a range of skills to enable them to work scientifically, including questioning, researching and observing for themselves. We promote and celebrate these skills.

The successful approach to the teaching of science at Holy Trinity Primary School will result in a fun, engaging, high quality science education that provides children with the foundations for understanding the world that they can take with them once they complete their primary education.
